Dr Kourosh Tavakoli - Medical Director
Dr Kourosh Tavakoli, FRACS, is the medical director of Sydney's Luxe Medispa.
As a fully qualified Australian trained Plastic Surgeon specialising in Cosmetic procedures and operations he is a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons and Australian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Tavakoli's main career passion is cosmetic surgery. Dr Tavakoli specialises in minimal scar plastic surgery of the face, breast and body. He is keenly aware of the importance of short scars in modern plastic surgery and is highly dedicated to delivering a natural look.
Sonja Hawkins - Beauty Therapist
Sonja is a beauty therapist with over 20years experience in the skincare industry
Extensive training and practicle experience in IPL and laser treatments such as hair removal, vascular, treatments, photo-rejuvenation, fine lines, skin texture and pore size.
Lymphatic drainage this is most advantageous to pre and post surgical it stimulates blood flow the opening of pathways for efficient elimination of toxins and waste from the body this process enables the body to heal more efficiently.

Sue Burke has been working in the nursing profession for over 25 years and brings a wealth of experience to Dr Tavakoli's practice. Graduating with a General Nursing Certificate from the Royal Newcastle Hospital in 1979, Sue has extensive experience in the field of Renal and Pancreatic transplants and rehabilitation, midwifery, and as a Clinical Nurse Consultant.
However, Sue had a strong interest in cosmetic surgery industry and therefore whilst working as a Registered Nurse, undertook training and practice of beauty treatments including microdermabrasion and chemical peels,. In 2005 Sue gained experience in the field of cosmetic surgery working as a nurse and assisting in procedures for the treatment of cellulite and fat reduction including mesotherapy and assisting in wrinkle treatments.
To pursue this particular area of interest, in early 2007 Sue joined the practice of Dr Tavakoli as Clinical Nurse and has subsequently undertaken further studies and training in advanced dermal fillers, wrinkle correction injectables (Allergan), IPL laser, and lip enhancement techniques (Q-med & Allergan). Sue now practices with Dr Tavakoli in patient assessments, after surgery dressings and patient care, and the performance to the latest nonsurgical procedures.
Sue is up to date with the most modern techniques and will continue to regularly attend seminars and training courses to make sure she is at the forefront of today's technology and treatments. With years of experience in looking after patient's individual needs and wants, Sue is both deligent and caring, has an eye for detail, and has an innate ability to make clients feel very special about themselves.
Shannon Moloney - Personal Assistant
Shannon Moloney is Dr Tavakoli's Personal Assistant. She has been with him since the opening of his two new practices in March 2007.
Shannon works very closely with Dr Tavakoli's patients to ensure they are well looked after from the moment they make their first enquiry through to their last post operative appointment.
Shannon also has a background in photography and therefore her skills are a great asset to the practice as she attends to all morphing for Dr Tavakoli's patients who visit him for Rhinoplasty, Chin and Cheek implants and Buccal Fat Pad Removal. Shannon also looks after all the Before and After images that are displayed not only around the practice but also on the website.
